We have been all over this city and still cannot find a litter box. At first we thought maybe everyone let their cats out, but it seems most places sell litter. My kingdom for a litter box!
It is really strange being in a city, or a country, or probably a continent that doesn`t have a Target or similar store. We don`t know where to buy anything. Even locating a whisk broom was a bit of a chore.
We took the cats to the vet for their final checkup. I noticed they sold the prescription cat food by Science Diet. If I ever thought it was expensive in the US, it costs twice as much abroad. Our human food budget is coming in at less than the cats'. Maybe they should become outdoor cats so they can catch their own food.
We caused a minor scandal today when we purchased a used washing machine. Most apartments do not come with washers or dryers, and I have never seen a laundromat in Norway. Being unemployed, we thought it prudent to buy used. Lise ran this idea by her relatives. It seemed everyone had their own idea why this was such a bad idea. However, since no two reasons were alike, we didn`t feel they held enough weight to overpower our priority to save a bit of money until we find work. At least now I can get dirty riding in the constant rain.
Do I sound obsessed about the weather?
